TAKE ME
‘Take Me’ is part of Richardson’s larger, ongoing body of work titled ‘Femme Fatality’, a series of works exploring the relationship between female identity, violence and systematic oppression.
This piece looks specifically a the objectification imposed on women, presenting the discarded frame as an object to be taken and consumed – a reflection of the reality for many women on the streets of London.
It was first exhibited on a London street corner, where attempts to take the piece occoured numerous times.
