Real Life Verification

£15.00

The Art

Forget pining after a social media blue badge, ‘Real Life Verification’ gives you the opportunity to prove to your family, peers and colleagues that you are, in fact, a real-life verified person. Artist Harriet Richardson invites you to prove your existence in two stages, with the opportunity to be officially granted a limited edition ‘IRL Blue Badge’ and accompanying certificate on approval of your verification.

During stage 1, you will be asked to complete 10 questions that aim to sift the bots from the babes. Stage 2 involves submitting ‘proof’ of your existence in whichever form you deem effective and appropriate.

Once this participatory art piece is complete, the applications will be compiled into an editorial study by the artist.

In a world becoming increasingly saturated with artificial intelligence and machine learning, this piece of work asks what it is to be human.
